After removing a tree we can remove the old stump with our stump grinding machine.

An old stump can be a trip hazard as well as spoiling the look of a beautiful garden. An old stump may also start to grow new shoots and start to grow again!

Old tree stumps typically grow mould and fungus which are harmful to plants. The spores from mould and fungus can travel quite a long way on the wind to infect other plants or trees and can then contaminate, harm or kill other plant life. To keep your garden looking nice and free of fungus, mould and spores, it is best to have the old stump removed.

What does a Stump Grinder do?

As the video shows, a stump grinder machine removes the stump bit by bit by cutting the wood side to side. The stump grinder cuts and turns the wood into sawdust or mulch. The stump grinder cuts below the surface going deeper into the root area. Any sawdust and waste produce can be kept and used in your garden, or can be removed as part of the process.

Our skilled tree surgeons have the expertise to remove old tree stumps safely and efficiently leaving a clean and tidy space.
